About Rich Abbott
Rich Abbott spent more than two decades in pastoral ministry before stepping back to do something pastors rarely do — write honestly about what he had seen, believed, questioned, and ultimately settled in his own faith.
Born and raised in rural Saskatchewan, Rich holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theology and brings a lifetime of Scripture study, congregational leadership, and hard theological conversation to everything he writes. He is not an ivory tower academic. He is a man who has sat with grieving families, counselled the financially broken, wrestled with church politics, and come out the other side with convictions worth writing about.
“I write the books I wish someone had handed me when I was thirty years old and trying to figure out what faithful living actually looked like.”
His Christian titles span several areas he cares about deeply — the integrity of the charismatic movement, the theology of money and stewardship, and the creative identity God places in every human being made in His image. Each book is written plainly, without academic pretension, for people who take their faith seriously and want something with teeth.
Rich lives in Manitoba with his wife Melody, who serves as his editorial partner and keeps him honest. When he is not writing, he is likely in the garden, preserving food, or working on his next book.
